Cast

Sarah Downing (Jane Cahill)

Birthday:April 261h
Hometown:Washington, DC

As the only female in a fledgling rock band, Sara Downing brings her sultry talents to the cast of Dead Last. She will be familiar to The WB viewers as Courtney, a waitress and alien-in-hiding, on Roswell this past season, and recently wrapped production on the feature film In God We Trust with Val Kilmer and Christian Slater.
Downing was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Boise, Idaho. A self-proclaimed "drama queen," she started acting at a young age in Shakespearean theater. However, her career got the boost it needed while modeling in Boise. Having been singled out by an agent, Downing had the opportunity to see the world and after extensive travel, she settled down in Los Angeles to satiate her appetite for acting.

Downing made her feature film debut in Never Been Kissed, where she had the opportunity to throw eggs at a geeky Drew Barrymore. Recent film projects include the horror films The Forsaken starring Brendan Fehr (Roswell), and Wishcraft starring Meat Loaf. She also appeared in the acclaimed independent film Tumbleweeds and stars in the upcoming independent thriller Rats.

In addition to Roswell, Downing's television credits include a recurring role on MTV's Undressed, as well as guest-starring roles on Boy Meets World and Titus.

Although she misses the outdoor life of Idaho, Downing currently resides in Los Angeles. When not working, she enjoys throwing parties, designing clothes and watching movies.

Tyler Labine (Scotty Sallback)

Birthday:April 26th 1978
Hometown:Ontario, Canada

Inside Tyler Labine's six-foot frame lies a laid-back soul and one of today's most promising young actors.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Labine and his family permanently settled in Vancouver when he was 12. He started acting at the age of 9 in professional theater and on local television shows. Both he and his younger brother got their first real break when they landed recurring roles on Canada's most popular television show to date, Road to Avonlea. As an honor roll student, he continued to act throughout high school. After a year of college, he landed a regular role on the syndicated series Breaker High, which was a turning point in his career.

On the big screen, Labine had a major role in the high-tech thriller Antitrust with Ryan Phillippe and Tim Robbins. He will next appear in the upcoming feature film comedy The Guest opposite Tara Reid, Ashton Kutcher, Molly Shannon and Andy Richter. He also appeared in Mr. Rice's Secret as a death-metal punk with a stutter opposite David Bowie; Trixie with Nick Nolte, Emily Watson and Dermot Mulroney; and Get Carter starring Sylvester Stallone.

Labine appeared in the original television movies In a Class of His Own with Lou Diamond Phillips, Take Me Home: The John Denver Story and By Dawn's Early Light, among others. His guest-starring roles include such series as Millennium, The X-Files, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch and Dark Angel.

A "Vancouver guy" at heart, Labine currently lives in Los Angeles to accommodate his acting schedule. Like his on-screen character in Dead Last, he is musically inclined -- an avid drummer who has been playing since the age of 10 and is also a deejay. When not working or playing music, Labine is a diehard snowboarder.

Wayne Pere (Dennis Budny)

Birthday:November 8
Hometown:Houma, Louisiana

A gifted character actor who disappears into every role he plays, Wayne Péré has already had a fruitful film and television career. He makes his series regular debut as the tightly wound manager in Dead Last.
Born and raised in the rural hamlet of Houma, La., Péré first was bit by the acting bug while attending Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. It was there that Péré's mentor, the head of the theater department, encouraged him to move to Los Angeles to pursue a professional acting career.

His first big break occurred when he landed a recurring role on The Jackie Mason Show. Guest-starring roles quickly followed, but the critical turning point in his career came in 1994 when starring in the original Beth Henley play Control Freaks with Holly Hunter, Bill Pullman and Carol Kane at The Met in New York.

Péré's film credits include roles in fellow Louisiana native Steven Soderbergh's Traffic, The Limey and Out of Sight, as well as Galaxy Quest, Sound Man and Eye for an Eye.

On television, he has had recurring roles on Northern Exposure, Tracey Takes On... and Walker, Texas Ranger. In addition, with nearly 50 guest-starring roles to his name, he has appeared on Dawson's Creek, ER, Friends, 3rd Rock From the Sun, That '70s Show, Any Day Now and Brimstone, among many others. Péré also appeared in the television movies Running Mates, Pirates of Silicon Valley and Alien Nation.

A true outdoorsman, Péré enjoys backpacking, camping, snowboarding and water-skiing. Since portraying a mentally disabled character on Any Day Now, he also spends his free time working with disabled children.
